Fugro Multi Client Services has over 50,000 km of seismic data available for license in South East Australia.
Otway / Sorell Basins
Fugro MCS has acquired over 7,500
kms of 2D seismic data in the Otway / Sorell Basins.
In addition, Fugro
MCS, in conjunction with Geoscience Australia, has
fully reprocessed a regional seismic data package
of 25,892 kms in the Otway, Sorell and Bass Basins.
The data package consists of mainly early vintage
surveys that responded well to the reprocessing.
Bass Basin
Fugro MCS has available 14,523 kms
of full Kirchhoff pre-stack time migrated data and
4,972 kms of post-stack reprocessed data.
Gippsland Basin
Fugro MCS has completed Kirchhoff
Pre-stack Time Migrating 4,974 kms of seismic data.
In 1999 Fugro Multi Client Services, in conjunction
with Department of Natural Resources and Environment
of Victoria, acquired 2D seismic data in the deep-water
area adjacent to Australia's most prolific basin.
The Gippsland area has more than 8 billion barrels
of proven oil reserves and 10 TCF of gas reserves.
Most of the deep-water area has not previously seen
any exploration activity. The GDW99- survey is the
first seismic survey shot in a regular grid pattern,
enabling explorers to map the extent of the prospective
Golden Beach and Latrobe reservoir units.
